Good to know
Do I need AI keys?
No. Free films get a plain script written from your steps, which you can edit line by line, and speak with your Mac's own voice. On Plus and Pro you add your own keys, an AI model and a voice, for scripts written from what's on screen and natural voices. You pay those providers directly; Onset adds nothing on top.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Every new account gets Plus free for 7 days, no card needed. After that you're on Free unless you choose a plan, and everything you made stays yours.
Where do my recordings go?
They stay on your Mac, with your films and every cut. When an AI writes your script, the pictures of your steps go to the AI service doing the work, and nowhere else.
Which Macs does it run on?
Macs with Apple silicon. Windows comes later.
Can I edit the film myself?
Yes. Fine-tune has a timeline, editing right on the film with snapping, and an inspector for every spotlight, label and zoom. Notes and your own edits live side by side.
What if I already have a recording?
Bring it in. Onset finds the clicks from how the screen answers them, puts a spotlight only where it saw one, and makes the film the same way.
What does Film my visit do?
It records your clicks on this page the way Onset records a website: each one with the exact box of what you pressed. Then it makes a short film of your visit, right here. Nothing is uploaded, and it's gone when you leave.
What can I export?
